Troy J. Roovers, MHA, MBA

Troy J. Roovers is a Founder and Principal in Solmedex, LLC.

He currently serves as CEO of Medical Business Services (MBS).  MBS is a management services organization supporting independent physician practices and related medical entities.  A sampling of MBS’ clients includes Minneapolis Radiology Associates, Minneapolis Vascular Physicians, Minnesota Diagnostic Imaging Partners, Minnesota Vascular Surgery Center, Respiratory Consultants and the former St. Paul Lung.  Mr. Roovers previously worked as an Operations Vice President with Abbott Northwestern Hospital, an 800 bed tertiary care facility in Minneapolis, MN.
 
Mr. Roovers has over 30 years’ experience working with health care providers, including hospitals, physician group practices, ambulatory surgery centers, vascular access centers, diagnostic imaging centers, nursing homes, sub-acute care providers and others.  He is experienced in inpatient and outpatient program management – including P&L responsibility, medical office/ambulatory care start-ups, specialty clinic network management and physician practice business office operations.
 
Mr. Roovers has overseen the design, construction and operation of multiple freestanding vascular access centers, vein centers, imaging centers, ambulatory surgery centers and has launched mobile imaging services.  He has deep knowledge in the areas of strategy, planning, business development, practice operations, finance, picture archiving, radiology information systems and practice management systems.
 
Mr. Roovers earned his B.B.A., magna cum laude from St. Norbert College in Green Bay, WI.  He earned his M.H.A. from the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health and his M.B.A. with a Finance concentration from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
