Joan M. Stone, CPA

Joan M. Stone is a Founder and Principal in Solmedex, LLC.

She currently serves as the CFO of Medical Business Services (MBS). MBS is a management services organization specializing in comprehensive administrative and independent medical practices across the country. She maintains her CPA license while working as an accounting and finance professional with MBS for over 20 years. She enjoys and excels working with healthcare peers, in particular with IT and revenue cycle leaders to translate, project and improve the impact of decisions on business and the financial statements. With experience in Big Four public accounting, she has a sound platform for developing financial models and analysis, uncovering project financing and tracking results against plans. The practical depth of her healthcare and finance experience has proven valuable to entities seeking to evaluate and project financial success of business lines and projects. 

Joan earned her Business degree as an accounting major from Creighton University in Omaha and obtained her CPA while working for Price Waterhouse (now PwC). She served on the Board of Directors for Helping Paws, Eden Prairie, MN, acting as the Vice President an volunteering on the Finance and Personnel Committees. She enjoys active time with family, travel, and spending time outdoors.
